Annual General Meeting December 2026
Global Encryption Day, celebrated on 21 October, raises awareness about the importance of encryption in protecting privacy, personal information, online communication, and digital transactions. Encryption helps ensure that sensitive information remains secure from unauthorized access and strengthens trust in the digital world.
The Internet Society India Chennai Chapter (ISOC Chennai) and KriVin Academy actively promote the importance of encryption and cybersecurity through educational and community-based activities. Their celebrations focus especially on creating awareness among students and young people in an engaging and practical way.
As part of the celebrations, awareness programmes are conducted to explain the basics of encryption, digital privacy, cybersecurity, and safe online practices. Students are encouraged to participate in quizzes, poster presentations, interactive discussions, and creative activities. These activities help participants understand complex cybersecurity concepts in a simple and enjoyable manner.
In collaboration with educational institutions, ISOC Chennai and KriVin Academy have organized programmes where students present their ideas through posters and participate in competitions, with recognition and prizes for their contributions. Activities such as Crypto Carnival further make learning about encryption interactive and interesting.
Through these initiatives, ISOC Chennai and KriVin Academy aim to build a stronger culture of digital privacy, security, responsible Internet use, and awareness, while inspiring young people to become informed and responsible digital citizens.
