The Internet is a place of possibility and opportunity. It is where we collaborate and innovate for a better world. Where we share our hopes and strengthen our bonds. It is where we work, learn, and make progress.

Internet Society is a global charitable organization empowering people to keep the Internet a force for good: open, globally connected, secure, and trustworthy.  Anyone who has a stake in the future of the Internet can go and be heard. It was founded and operates on the principles of being bottom-up, transparent, and inclusive.

Fostering to this, Internet Society India Chennai Chapter is forming a Internet Learners Forum as part of their Chapter Initiative mainly focusing on the student community in the age group of 10-23 Years.

Mission

• Building and supporting the communities that make the Internet work

• Building regional and global capacity through training.

• Building a new cadre of Internet leaders who are motivated to learn, engage and act within their region and beyond.

• Mobilizing youth beyond IG-specific topics.

• Partnering with more organizations to broaden the depth.

• Build the capacity of young adults to participate in internet governance discussion

• Develop a youth network to bring contributions to actual internet governance discussion

• Provide a platform for cultivating ideas to drive social change and further actualizing the initiative for a harmonious Internet
